Application Lead

About the role

The Application Lead will head the Business Applications Managed Services function, ensuring reliable operation and continuous improvement of enterprise‑wide applications. This senior position provides technical direction to support and development teams while coordinating with cross‑functional IT groups.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day Business Applications Managed Services operations.
• Provide technical leadership to application support and development teams.
• Manage incidents, problems, escalations and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Coordinate application changes, releases, deployments and routine maintenance.
• Oversee application availability, performance, capacity and SLA compliance.
• Drive integration across APIs, databases and enterprise services.
• Review technical designs, assess risks and approve implementation plans.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Database, Network, Security, IAM and Integration teams.
• Manage vendor relationships and handle technical escalations.
• Lead upgrades, migrations, testing and production roll‑outs.
• Support disaster recovery, service restoration and major incident response.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in business applications operations and development.
• Proven track record as a technical/application lead in an enterprise Managed Services environment.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes for incident, problem, change and release management.
• Willingness to work onsite in Riyadh and participate in on‑call support.
