Application Support Engineer

About the role

KalSoft is seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of its enterprise business applications. The role involves providing first and second‑level support, troubleshooting incidents, and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to maintain high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑ and second‑level support for business applications, handling user issues and service requests.
• Troubleshoot application incidents and coordinate with development or vendor teams when needed.
• Monitor application performance and availability to guarantee business continuity.
• Support end users by diagnosing and resolving configuration, access, and application issues.
• Maintain Windows Server environments that host business applications.
• Perform routine health checks, system monitoring, and manage user accounts, permissions, and access.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures for knowledge management.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, database, and development teams to resolve complex technical problems.
• Participate in deployments, upgrades, patching, and system maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Prepare regular support reports and communicate system status to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional experience in business application support.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise applications and business users.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, or a related field.
• ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.

• Windows Server administration.
