Application Support Engineer – L1/L2 (Riyadh)

About the role

We are looking for motivated Application Support Engineers (L1 and L2) to join our on‑site team in Riyadh. You will be the first line of defense for critical banking and fintech applications, ensuring smooth operation and rapid issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for incidents and service requests, logging and tracking tickets via the ITSM platform.
• Monitor applications, APIs, integrations, batch jobs and dashboards using tools such as Grafana, Kibana and GCP Monitoring.
• Perform initial troubleshooting for login, onboarding, transaction, workflow and connectivity problems.
• Escalate high‑impact or unresolved issues to L2 support, infrastructure, security or vendors within SLA timelines.
• Investigate and resolve complex incidents, analyze logs, traces and API payloads, and diagnose credit‑decisioning or loan‑calculation errors.
• Execute SQL queries for data extraction, support ERP, CRM, HR and finance platforms, and coordinate with external vendors.
• Document defects, create operational reports and maintain support documentation.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of application support experience for L1 or 3–5 years for L2 roles.
• Background in banking, fintech, lending or financial‑services environments.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and documentation abilities.

Required skills

• Monitoring tools: Grafana, Kibana, GCP Monitoring.
• REST APIs, HTTP error handling and API payload analysis.
• SQL query writing and data extraction.
• ITSM / ticketing platforms.
• Log analysis tools: GCP Operations Suite, ELK stack.
