Architect – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

About the role

This full-time, on-site position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Architect will lead the design and documentation of construction projects, ensuring aesthetic quality, cost efficiency and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings and as-built drawings with a focus on aesthetics and cost control.
• Conduct quantity surveying and verify material dimensions and specifications.
• Review purchase orders to ensure materials meet design requirements.
• Coordinate meetings with designers and resolve conflicts between design components.
• Analyse building codes, bylaws, site and space requirements and incorporate them into architectural and civil designs.
• Manage Requests for Information (RFI) during the tendering stage and gather data from job sites for accurate measurements.
• Calculate weights, volumes and stress factors to assess technical implications of design concepts.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in architectural design, documentation and project coordination.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi building codes and construction standards.
• Ability to work on-site and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
