Area Manager, Oncology

About the role

As an Area Manager – Oncology at Novartis, you will lead a high‑performing field force in Riyadh, driving commercial results and meaningful patient impact across the oncology portfolio. The role combines strategic planning, customer engagement, and team development in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver sales, market share, and profitability targets for the oncology area, meeting or exceeding budget.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term sales plans aligned with regional and global marketing strategies.
• Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts, decision makers, KOLs, patient associations, and cross‑functional colleagues.
• Monitor market trends, product performance and conduct regular business reviews, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting and administrative compliance.

Required profile

• University degree in bioscience, business or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience in Saudi Arabia, with a proven record of sales achievement.
• Experience in solid‑tumor oncology, preferably breast cancer.
• Demonstrated people‑leadership skills managing diverse, dispersed teams.
• Strong understanding of Saudi regulatory, access and market environment.

Required skills

• In‑depth product and disease‑area knowledge in oncology.
• Ability to translate strategy into execution and drive customer‑engagement excellence.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic.
