Armament Operator – Typhoon Aircraft

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Armament Operator to support weapons maintenance on Typhoon aircraft within a highly regulated military aviation environment. You will join a skilled team, performing scheduled maintenance while adhering to strict quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled weapons maintenance on Typhoon aircraft.
• Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection and minor rectification tasks.
• Ensure work complies with approved technical orders, publications and quality systems.
• Accurately complete maintenance documentation, records and forms.
• Maintain valid authorisations for all tasks undertaken.
• Identify training needs and ensure mandatory training remains up‑to‑date.
• Support team operations and undertake additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience in an operational aircraft maintenance environment.
• Experience on military or fast‑jet aircraft (Typhoon experience advantageous).
• Completion of a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship.
• Level 2 qualification in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent military qualifications).

What we offer

• Rolling 6‑month contract (48 hours/week, Sunday–Thursday).
