Armament Technician Supervisor – Typhoon Aircraft

About the role

The Armament Technician Supervisor will lead scheduled weapons maintenance on RSAF Typhoon aircraft, ensuring airworthiness and compliance with technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, minor rectification and supervise personnel on Typhoon weapons systems.
• Maintain technical quality and airworthiness by adhering to RSAF/DA publications, M&CA mandates and SMU QMS.
• Raise independent inspections and conduct vital or mandatory inspections as required.
• Carry out daily inspections to meet programmed maintenance schedules.
• Assist with work‑environment, housekeeping, cleanliness and FOD control checks.
• Complete SMU and aircraft maintenance documentation accurately.
• Ensure authorisations are current and highlight training needs.
• Support QA investigations and fulfil all mandated training.

Required profile

• Recognised aircraft engineering trade apprenticeship with NVQ/C&G Level 3 or equivalent, or Part 66 licence.
• Minimum 7 years post‑qualification maintenance experience in an operational flying aircraft environment (or 3 years on Typhoon type).
• Relevant Typhoon type training or Q‑course and equipment‑specific training.
• Experience working within a Typhoon aircraft maintenance organisation.
• Strong interpersonal communication and briefing skills with English proficiency.

What we offer

• £315 per day rate, 48 hours per week (Sunday‑Thursday)
• Overtime at normal day rate
• Shared accommodation and flights to/from the UK
• 12‑18 month fixed‑term contract with possibility of extension
