Assistant E-Commerce Manager

About the role

The Assistant E-Commerce Manager supports the management and development of the hotel group’s online sales and distribution channels. The role monitors online performance, manages OTA platforms, optimises rates and content, and coordinates with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing and hotel operations to maximise online revenue and improve the guest booking experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing the hotel group’s e‑commerce and online distribution activities across major OTA platforms.
• Ensure accurate rates, availability, room types, packages, promotions and content on all online channels.
• Monitor daily online bookings, revenue, room availability and booking trends, and report performance.
• Support the implementation of e‑commerce strategies to increase online revenue and occupancy.
• Track competitors’ rates, promotions and online positioning to inform pricing decisions.
• Optimise hotel listings, descriptions, images and promotional content on OTA sites.
• Coordinate with Revenue Management to align rate and inventory management.
• Identify opportunities to boost direct bookings and improve online conversion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in E‑Commerce, Marketing, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in hotel e‑commerce, OTA management or online distribution; hotel experience is mandatory.
• Practical knowledge of OTA platforms and hotel booking engines.
• Familiarity with hotel PMS, CRS, Channel Manager and Booking Engine systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities with good command of English.

Required skills

• Experience with major OTA platforms such as Booking.com, Expedia and Agoda.
• Knowledge of hotel Property Management System (PMS) and Central Reservation System (CRS).
• Understanding of Channel Manager and Booking Engine functionalities.
• Good knowledge of Revenue Management and online hotel distribution practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for performance data analysis.
