Assistant General Counsel, Employment and Litigation

About the role

KoBold, a privately‑held AI‑driven mineral exploration company, is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join its growing in‑house legal team. The role will support the Chief Legal Officer and Deputy General Counsel in advancing the company’s global employment and litigation agenda across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on employment law, immigration, investigations, and workforce compliance in the U.S., Australia, Canada, the UK, Europe, Africa and other regions.
• Draft, review and negotiate employment agreements, consulting agreements, separation agreements, CIIAAs, offer letters, secondment arrangements and related documents.
• Develop, maintain and improve employee handbooks, policies, procedures, trainings and internal governance frameworks.
• Manage and coordinate employment‑related litigation and dispute resolution matters globally.
• Assist the CLO and DGC in shaping and implementing the company’s broader legal strategy.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree and admission to practice in at least one relevant jurisdiction.
• Significant experience in employment law, immigration, investigations and cross‑border workforce matters.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate a wide range of employment‑related agreements.
• Experience advising multinational companies on compliance and litigation across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
