Assistant Manager – Demand & Supply Planning

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Demand & Supply Planning will lead the monthly S&OP cycle for export markets, ensuring accurate demand forecasts and seamless coordination across sales, marketing, finance and supply chain functions. This role is pivotal in maintaining a reliable rolling export forecast and driving timely corrective actions when deviations occur.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process for export markets, consolidating inputs from regional sales, distributors, marketing and supply chain.
• Maintain and update the export demand planning tool, capturing all relevant data to align stakeholders.
• Produce and sustain an 18‑month rolling export demand forecast, uploading it to SAP each month.
• Establish early‑warning systems to highlight forecast deviations and market risks.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to incorporate promotions, pricing changes, trade initiatives and market dynamics into the forecast.
• Apply advanced data‑modeling and statistical techniques to improve forecast accuracy and scenario planning.
• Oversee SGNA daily sales, provide delivery notes to 3PL partners and reconcile stock levels for SGNA and US 3PL.
• Prepare weekly supply planning reports, ensuring orders align with forecasted demand and export cut‑off dates.
• Monitor export supply orders, share performance metrics and lead the export demand planning function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 2‑4 years of proven experience in demand or supply planning.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP or a comparable system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Resourceful, proactive and able to work independently.
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
