Assistant Room Service Manager

About the role

The Assistant Room Service Manager supports the Room Service Manager in delivering an outstanding guest experience at Kempinski Al Khobar. This role combines team leadership, operational oversight and financial monitoring to ensure service excellence, profitability and adherence to Kempinski standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Room Service Manager and act as Manager on Duty in their absence.
• Supervise the Room Service Supervisor, Order Takers and wait staff, ensuring punctuality and professional appearance.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the service area.
• Drive revenue through upselling, menu knowledge and guest profiling.
• Monitor and control costs, review profit‑and‑loss statements and contribute to monthly performance analysis.
• Conduct outlet meetings, staff briefings and training sessions as required.
• Coordinate with the Culinary Team and attend daily/weekly meetings to improve service delivery.
• Prepare daily checklists, station allocations and schedule staff according to work plans.
• Produce reports, analyse outlet performance and present findings in monthly meetings.
• Report disciplinary incidents promptly to the Room Service Manager.

• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining service quality.
• Understanding of outlet concepts, financial statements and cost‑control principles.
• Willingness to attend and contribute to trainings, meetings and performance reviews.

Required skills

• Proficient operation of the property’s POS (Point‑of‑Sale) system.
