Associate Director – Landscape Design (Remote)

About the role

Mace is looking for an experienced Associate Director to lead landscape design on a major entertainment and luxury hospitality project in Saudi Arabia. The role combines strategic design leadership with hands‑on delivery, working closely with architects, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver landscape design strategy aligned with programme objectives, timeline and budget.
• Oversee the full design management lifecycle, including planning, workflows and deliverables.
• Manage and approve consultant appointments across all workstreams.
• Build, lead and coordinate internal and external multidisciplinary design teams.
• Act as the primary design interface, resolve issues and maintain strong client relationships.
• Engage senior stakeholders, influence decisions and present KPIs to senior leadership.
• Support net‑zero carbon transition by identifying and managing emissions during delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Landscape Architecture (or equivalent).
• Minimum 15 years of design management experience on large‑scale, complex or mixed‑use developments.
• Proven capability in design risk management, mitigation and delivery planning.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, fees and programme delivery.
• Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant high‑value project experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BIM and digital tools such as BIM 360, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Synchro and Primavera P6.
