Associate Director - Procurement

About the role

Join Coastal Contracting Company, a subsidiary of Red Sea Global, as an Associate Director of Procurement. You will lead a senior procurement team across multiple construction projects, ensuring financial risk is managed and service provider relationships are optimized.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Procurement Director in negotiating tender procurement to maximize opportunities and limit risk.
• Lead and delegate tasks to a team of Procurement Managers, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
• Manage key stakeholder contracts and maintain daily liaison with senior management.
• Implement procurement and cost‑control activities in line with company policies.
• Coordinate with department heads to define service requirements and appropriate contracting methods.
• Initiate and oversee procurement processes, keeping requesting departments informed.
• Develop, monitor, and update cost databases for benchmarking.
• Oversee procurement throughout the project lifecycle, including budget management, claims, and variations.
• Provide clarification on contract terms and resolve contractual disputes.
• Ensure service provider compliance during pre‑selection and final contract stages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 18 years of post‑graduate experience, with at least 8 years in a senior commercial or procurement leadership role.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale construction procurement and contracts.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
