Associate - Government Advisory

About the role

The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change is seeking an Associate to support its Government Advisory practice from the Riyadh hub. You will work directly with political leaders and senior officials, helping turn strategic ideas into actionable policies and programmes, with technology as an enabler.

Key responsibilities

• Support in‑country and regional projects, advising political leaders on strategy, policy and delivery.
• Develop research, analysis, written insights and other deliverables for clients and senior TBI leadership.
• Engage with client counterparts to understand requirements, articulate ideas and present findings.
• Innovate and build tools such as project dashboards, frameworks and trackers to improve programme management.
• Facilitate high‑impact project delivery, performance tracking and coordination.
• Scope new opportunities and build relationships to expand TBI into additional geographies.
• Assist with the inception and implementation phases of new projects as local teams are established.
• Apply emerging approaches to support change and deliver measurable impact.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a political staffer, public servant, consultant, or in related fields such as economics, finance or civil society.
• Fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
• Experience in strategy or management consulting is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and written communication skills, with the ability to produce senior‑level deliverables.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work collaboratively in ambiguous environments.
