Astronomy Guide

About the role

The Astronomy Guide will be the primary point of contact for guests seeking immersive stargazing and astronomy experiences across the Red Sea destination. Working on‑site, you will combine scientific knowledge, storytelling and cultural interpretation to deliver memorable night‑sky programmes that align with RSSE’s standards and Saudi Vision 2030.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Senior Astronomy Guide and assist in the smooth execution of astronomy tours, events and festivals.
• Implement operational procedures and ensure all astronomy equipment, structures and assets are maintained to professional standards.
• Operate across multiple observation sites within the Red Sea destination, supporting day‑to‑day delivery of programmes.
• Support the design and delivery of new stargazing experiences, collaborating with cross‑functional RSSE and RSG teams.
• Deliver engaging sessions that include telescope viewing, astrophotography and clear explanations of celestial objects and phenomena.
• Incorporate cultural and historical narratives, highlighting Arabian and global contributions to astronomy.

Required profile

• Passionate about astronomy with a strong understanding of the solar system, stars, deep‑space objects and constellations.
• Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, able to engage diverse guest groups.
• Knowledge of the cultural history of astronomy, especially regional significance.
• Commitment to operational excellence, guest satisfaction and adherence to RSSE standards.
