ASU Field Operator

About the role

The ASU Field Operator will manage day‑to‑day operations of the Air Separation Unit (ASU) and associated utilities at a green‑hydrogen based ammonia production facility in NEOM. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance while supporting the broader goal of green ammonia export.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor ASU & utilities production plants in line with NGHC standards.
• Troubleshoot plant issues and coordinate with the Operations & Maintenance team for field support.
• Execute daily and monthly operational routines, including sample collection and LOTO procedures.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and support plant shutdown activities.
• Update operating documents and contribute to site management systems (MOC, BPs, SWIMs, JSAs).
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with EH&S standards.
• Participate in emergency response actions and on‑call rotation as required.
• Provide training and coaching to new field operators.

Required profile

• High school diploma in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating ASU and/or utilities plants.
• Previous experience in an industrial plant environment is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Required skills

• Interpretation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Single Line Diagrams, and Shutdown Matrices.
• Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
