ASU & Utilities Control Room Operator

About the role

The ASU & Utilities Control Room Operator will manage the day‑to‑day operation of the Air Separation Unit (ASU) and associated utilities at the green‑hydrogen ammonia facility in NEOM. This position ensures safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance while supporting the start‑up of a world‑leading renewable ammonia project.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the ASU and utilities plants in line with NGHC standards.
• Supervise DCS, data acquisition, and alarm management systems, responding to normal and abnormal conditions.
• Troubleshoot process deviations, customer demand changes, and optimisation opportunities.
• Execute daily and monthly operational routines, adhering to procedures, maintenance manuals, and safety requirements.
• Track operational KPIs to meet performance targets and support plant shutdown activities.
• Promote a zero‑injury safety culture and ensure compliance with EH&S standards.
• Act as primary contact for H₂ and NH₃ production units, maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
• Provide training and coaching to new operators and validate competency.

Required profile

• High school diploma in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience operating ASU and/or utilities plant DCS systems.
• Previous experience in industrial process plant operations.
