Audit Lead

About the role

The Audit Lead will support the audit manager in shaping and executing the organization’s audit strategy. This role ensures that financial processes and controls meet professional standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the manager in developing and implementing audit policies, processes, and procedures.
• Plan and execute financial audit engagements, reviewing financial statements, general ledger, accounting entries, and supporting documentation.
• Evaluate control effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Review key financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, procurement, payments, and revenue recognition for proper controls and transparency.
• Prepare clear audit reports with findings, risk implications, and actionable recommendations; monitor corrective action implementation.
• Conduct financial analysis and variance reviews to detect anomalies, trends, or potential risks.
• Support the development of the annual audit plan based on risk assessments.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, finance teams, and external auditors to ensure alignment and timely resolution of audit matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, SOCPA, ACCA, CIA) strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of auditing experience, preferably with an audit firm.
