Auditor – Internal Audit

About the role

The Internal Auditor will support the Audit Manager in planning and executing internal audits across the organization. The role focuses on identifying risks, testing controls, and delivering actionable recommendations to improve governance and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in opening meetings with clients to explain audit scope and objectives.
• Document business processes using flowcharts or narratives and identify inherent risks and controls.
• Develop risk‑based test plans and select appropriate audit approaches, procedures and sampling criteria.
• Perform audit testing and prepare working papers in line with IIA standards and Sadara IA methodology.
• Evaluate process design and control effectiveness, documenting weaknesses and supporting findings with evidence.
• Propose practical, value‑added recommendations to address control gaps and inefficiencies.
• Organise work papers for manager review and take part in closing meetings to discuss findings.
• Assist in preparing concise audit reports for senior management and the department director.
• Contribute to the annual internal audit plan and support consulting projects related to new processes or facilities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Audit Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand and document business processes.
• Knowledge of internal audit standards (IIA) and risk‑based auditing methodology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and preparing reports.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under the guidance of the Audit Manager.
