Backend Developer – JSON Schema (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Developer specialized in JSON Schema to join a global technology leader on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to build reliable data models and APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain JSON Schema definitions for API contracts and data models.
• Validate JSON Schema compliance for inbound and outbound data across microservices.
• Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to integrate schema changes without disrupting existing workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve schema‑related issues in production environments.
• Optimize schema performance and keep definitions aligned with evolving business requirements.

Required profile

• Strong experience with JSON Schema specification and validation tools (e.g., Ajv, JSON Schema Validator).
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and backend frameworks such as Node.js or Express.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Familiarity with data modeling and both SQL and NoSQL database schemas.
• Experience using Git and working within CI/CD pipelines.
