Backend Engineer (Remote) – SaaS Startup

About the role

We are a high‑growth, venture‑backed SaaS startup looking for a Backend Engineer to own and scale the core product. This fully remote position (within ±4 hours of Riyadh) offers the chance to shape critical backend services that power thousands of B2B users.

Key responsibilities

• Own and scale core backend services & APIs (verification, workflows, AI features, integrations).
• Design and build secure, reliable backend systems.
• Work across cloud and on‑prem deployments.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and product direction.
• Write clean, well‑tested code as part of day‑to‑day development.

Required profile

• Strong backend experience with Python.
• Proven B2B SaaS background.
• Experience building and scaling APIs and backend services.
• Solid understanding of secure, reliable system design.
• Comfortable working across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Strong testing mindset (unit, integration, API testing).
