BIM Design Engineer

About the role

Parsons is looking for an innovative BIM Design Engineer to lead the creation, coordination and validation of intelligent 3D models for major infrastructure assets in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The role bridges design and construction, using advanced BIM processes to deliver clash‑free, data‑rich models that support project delivery and future asset management.

Key responsibilities

• Author, modify and manage multi‑disciplinary 3D models from concept through As‑Built, ensuring compliance with the project BIM Execution Plan.
• Lead federation processes and run clash‑detection workshops, resolving design conflicts before they reach the construction site.
• Audit model data from subcontractors, enforcing Level of Development (LOD 300‑500), geometry and metadata standards.
• Perform engineering calculations, produce detailed layouts, shop drawings, schedules and quantity take‑offs directly from the coordinated BIM model.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers and client representatives to integrate BIM data into asset‑management and digital‑twin frameworks.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of engineering design and BIM implementation on complex infrastructure or mega‑scale building projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional BIM Management or coordination certification preferred.
• Willingness to relocate and work full‑time in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.
• Experience with KSA giga‑project BIM delivery (e.g., NEOM, Trojena, Oxagon, Red Sea) is a strong advantage.
• Strong technical English communication skills.
