Business Analyst – Sales & Commercial

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, the Business Analyst – Sales & Commercial transforms complex commercial data into actionable insights that guide strategic decisions across Modern Trade, Wholesale, Van Operations, International Markets, E‑Commerce and Sales Transformation. The role serves as the analytical backbone of the commercial function, enabling senior leadership to act faster and with confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain performance reporting frameworks and dashboards for all sales channels, delivering daily, weekly and monthly insights.
• Conduct deep‑dive analyses on sales trends, SKU contribution, customer segmentation and market‑share movements to identify gaps and growth opportunities.
• Support S&OP and annual commercial planning with accurate demand forecasts, budget inputs and scenario modelling.
• Provide analytical support for commercial transformation projects, route‑to‑market redesigns, partnership evaluations and investment business cases.
• Translate data outputs into board‑room‑ready presentations for the CSO and CEO and respond to ad‑hoc analytical requests.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in commercial analytics, business intelligence or financial analysis, preferably in FMCG or consumer goods.
• Strong commercial acumen with understanding of channel dynamics, trade spending and promotional mechanics.
• Analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail and proactive, self‑organized work style.
• Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• BI/visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• ERP familiarity, preferably SAP.
• Data modelling and forecasting skills.
• SQL or Python (optional but valued).
