About the role
The Business Development Manager will lead the country strategy for the TÜV SÜD Academy, driving sustainable growth, market positioning, and high‑quality training delivery. This senior role combines business development, client relationship management, and operational oversight.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a country‑specific Academy strategy aligned with regional and global objectives.
- Drive business development activities to meet revenue and growth targets.
- Establish and manage strategic relationships with key clients, industry partners, and government authorities.
- Lead Key Account Management to secure long‑term partnerships and repeat business.
- Engage with regulatory bodies to obtain and maintain training centre approvals, licences, and accreditations.
- Manage audits from authorities and accreditation bodies, ensuring full compliance.
- Oversee sales and operational activities, including lead management, pipeline tracking, and conversion.
- Lead, manage, and develop sales and operations teams, setting targets and monitoring performance.
- Ensure effective delivery of classroom, virtual, and e‑learning programmes with high customer satisfaction.
- Develop and manage a pool of qualified trainers, handling onboarding, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
- Identify suitable training venues and ensure operational readiness.
- Oversee certification processes, including examinations, issuance, and standards compliance.
- Collaborate with internal sales, technical, marketing, and operations teams for integrated service delivery.
- Monitor KPIs, analyse market trends, and provide strategic insights for continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- 8–12 years of experience in training, certification, or service‑based industries.
- Proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and strategy execution.
- Experience dealing with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and accreditation processes.
- Strong understanding of training operations, certification schemes, and learning solutions.
- Experience managing cross‑functional teams.
