Business Development Manager – Commercial Lighting

About the role

SolutionMall is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth of its commercial and integrated lighting solutions across a range of sectors. You will work closely with distributors, contractors, consultants and end‑users to identify lighting needs, match products to projects and support the full sales cycle from RFQ to quotation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new customers and channel partners for indoor, outdoor, industrial, architectural and stage lighting solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with lighting and electrical distributors, contractors, engineering firms, facility managers and procurement teams.
• Promote SolutionMall’s portfolio, including LED panels, downlights, high‑bay lights, street lights, floodlights, explosion‑proof lights and smart lighting accessories.
• Gather and analyse customer requirements, specifications, RFQs and budgets; prepare accurate quotations and delivery plans.
• Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to confirm technical details, ensure timely quotation delivery and follow up on project progress.
• Collect market feedback on product demand, trends and competitive offerings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales within the LED lighting, electrical products or building‑project sector.
• Familiarity with lighting distributors, contractor channels, engineering consultants and project‑based solution sales.
• Ability to manage RFQs, quotation preparation and project follow‑up.
• Strong networking skills with facility managers, procurement teams and end‑users.

Required skills

• LED lighting product knowledge (indoor, outdoor, industrial, architectural, stage).
• Smart‑lighting protocols and accessories (DALI, 0‑10V, DMX, IoT control, sensors).
• RFQ handling and quotation coordination.
• Solution matching and product selection for diverse commercial environments.
