Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development – Freight Forwarding professional to drive new business, develop customer relationships, and achieve sales targets in the Dammam/Eastern Province market. The role involves identifying opportunities, generating leads, and managing client relationships across sea, air, and land logistics services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in freight forwarding and logistics.
• Generate leads and acquire new customers through cold calling, networking, referrals, and market visits.
• Promote sea freight, air freight, land transportation, customs clearance, and logistics solutions.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate rates, and close sales opportunities.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Coordinate with operations and pricing teams to provide competitive and efficient solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
• Maintain an updated sales pipeline and submit regular sales reports to management.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in business development or sales within freight forwarding or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding and logistics services.
• Proven ability to generate new customers and achieve sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong network of customers in Dammam/Eastern Province is an advantage.
• Valid Saudi driving license and Saudi market experience are preferred.
