Business Development Manager – Middle East & Africa

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region to join Sartorius’ Commercial Business Development team in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities and strategic partnerships in emerging markets with high growth potential.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate market potential and identify prospects through field activities to capture opportunities.
• Design and implement business‑development plans for under‑developed markets aligned with regional objectives.
• Create and execute outreach strategies (emails, calls, visits, conferences, presentations) to expand Sartorius’ network.
• Qualify and prioritize opportunities, presenting the Sartorius value proposition.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop partnership concepts, business cases and cooperation frameworks.
• Build and nurture relationships with partners, government entities, academic institutions and key opinion leaders.
• Analyse business‑development data and performance metrics to improve practices.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, contacts and opportunities in Salesforce (SFDC).

Required profile

• Academic degree in life sciences or engineering (higher education beneficial).
• Minimum five years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships or related roles within the biopharmaceutical or life‑science industry.
• Strong network and market understanding across the Middle East and Africa.

Required skills

• Salesforce (SFDC) CRM proficiency.
