Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will support the implementation of PACE's strategic business development plan, aligning activities with the company's long‑term objectives. This role assists in client networking, bid preparation, market analysis, and maintaining the CRM system to drive new opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in executing the annual business development action plan and positioning PACE for new projects.
• Support bidding processes, including client communication, pre‑qualification, proposal review, and preparation of expression‑of‑interest documents.
• Gather and analyse market data, update the BD tracker/CRM, and prepare reports for internal meetings.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, governmental authorities, and private‑sector partners.
• Coordinate meetings, presentations, and hand‑out materials for prospective opportunities.
• Maintain and update contact lists and ensure timely reporting to the BD manager.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data from multiple sources.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interaction and internal collaboration.
• Detail‑oriented approach to documentation, pre‑qualification, and proposal preparation.
• Proactive attitude in building and sustaining professional relationships.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM systems for tracking business development activities.
