Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Buyer will manage the sourcing and purchasing of products, materials, and services to ensure optimal quality, cost, and delivery timelines. This role supports business operations by maintaining inventory availability, driving supplier performance, and identifying cost‑saving opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing plans based on business needs, inventory levels, demand forecasts, and approved budgets.
• Source products, materials, equipment, and services from qualified suppliers; research markets and evaluate pricing, specifications, and availability.
• Negotiate quotations, pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other commercial conditions.
• Prepare, issue, and monitor purchase orders through delivery, handling order confirmations, shipment status, receipts, and invoice resolution.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, contracts, and documentation.
• Coordinate with inventory, warehouse, logistics, finance, operations, sales, and other internal teams to ensure timely procurement.
• Monitor inventory levels, reorder points, lead times, and supply risks.
• Evaluate supplier performance on quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance.
• Support supplier onboarding, due diligence, contract administration, and periodic reviews.
• Inspect delivered goods, resolve discrepancies, and manage returns or credit notes.
• Prepare purchasing reports, cost analyses, savings reports, and procurement forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field (preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, merchandising, or supply chain.
• Proven experience sourcing products or services, evaluating suppliers, negotiating terms, and managing purchase orders.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, supplier management, order fulfillment, and supply chain operations.
