Capacity & Capability Project Leader

About the role

The Capacity & Capability Project Leader drives projects that boost repair capability, capacity and SQDC performance to meet growing business demands. This role combines strategic capital planning, cross‑functional collaboration and continuous improvement to achieve long‑term operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process repair capacity analysis and project planning, aligning capex, SQDC Kaizen and read‑across initiatives with business objectives.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans covering scope, schedule, milestones and budgets, coordinating Shop operations, AMRT and Sourcing.
• Own capex project execution, providing on‑time delivery, budget control and regular progress updates to leadership.
• Collaborate with AMRT, global sourcing and capex teams for equipment specification, sourcing, PO placement and delivery.
• Oversee equipment installation, start‑up and qualification per GEV standards, establishing TPM standards and documentation.
• Support repair facility expansion, site preparation and component repair qualifications with shop PQE/ME.
• Participate in Kaizen/AWO events, lead Kaizen teams and drive continuous improvement across global component teams.
• Provide regular status, budget, schedule and risk reports to senior leadership.
• Lead gas turbine process qualifications such as coating, heat treatment and welding.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related field, or a diploma with at least 5 years of gas‑turbine repair experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in repair operations, capacity planning and CAPEX management within a manufacturing or service environment.
• Strong analytical, project management and financial acumen.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of gas‑turbine repair methods, procedures and planning.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using project‑management software.
• Ability to perform financial analysis for capital projects.
• Understanding of TPM standards and SQDC metrics.
