Cardiovascular Technologist

About the role

The Cardiovascular Technologist will work full‑time on‑site at Makkah Medical Center Hospital, supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures in the catheterisation laboratory. The role involves preparing patients, operating imaging and monitoring equipment, and assisting physicians during cardiac catheterisation and related procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients for cardiovascular procedures and ensure proper positioning.
• Operate and maintain fluoroscopy, imaging, and monitoring equipment during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterisation.
• Capture, document, and archive high‑quality imaging data.
• Monitor patient vital signs and status throughout procedures, adhering to safety and infection‑control protocols.
• Maintain equipment calibration, perform routine quality‑assurance checks, and follow radiation‑safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient cath‑lab workflow.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and quality‑assurance programs.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a cath‑lab or cardiovascular imaging setting.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related allied‑health field.
• Valid SCFHS classification and registration in Cardiovascular Technology.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and common cardiovascular conditions.
• Ability to follow physician instructions precisely and document procedures accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in an acute‑care environment.
