Category Management Associate – Home Care Paper & Disposables

About the role

The Category Management Associate supports the Category Manager in achieving sales, margin and overall commercial targets for the Home Care – Paper & Disposables portfolio. The role focuses on vendor negotiations, product assortment planning and promotional optimisation to drive category performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Category/Assistant Category Manager in negotiating annual supply agreements with vendors following company guidelines.
• Recommend product categories and help implement the category plan in line with sales budgets and forecasts.
• Support cost and retail price setting, ensuring product margin targets are met.
• Manage total commercial margin by following up on vendor deals and ensuring implementation.
• Analyse and monitor product sourcing processes, completing all required formalities.
• Provide periodic performance feedback to vendors and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Participate in promo optimisation activities, including supplier brief communication, item selection, internal communication, forecasting, sign‑off and post‑promo review.
• Improve category availability by setting minimum and maximum order quantities.
• Enhance category footfall through planogram implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
• Strong negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
