Category Manager – Amazon Now (Q‑commerce)

About the role

As a Category Manager for Amazon Now, you will own the non‑fresh portfolio of Amazon’s fast‑growing Q‑commerce service. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure the right selection, pricing, promotions and activities are delivered while meeting growth, basket penetration and margin targets.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Category Leader in driving strategic initiatives and new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with Retail PF/Category Leaders to define the optimal selection mix for grocery and non‑grocery items.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve selection, profitability, pricing and availability.
• Own the P&L post‑launch, hitting top‑line and bottom‑line targets and driving profitability projects with vendors, operations and advertising.
• Define and continuously refine assortment to maximise space utilisation.
• Source deals for Tier 1 & Tier 2 events to deliver value to Prime customers.
• Ensure best‑in‑class content quality to improve conversion.
• Negotiate marketing funds from vendors for category visibility during regular periods and events.
• Partner with the Ads team to secure a fair share of brand‑ads investment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.
• 5+ years in retail, operations, product or program management, or business consulting with a track record of negotiations and results.
• Experience managing large data sets to drive performance improvements.
