CCR Operator – I (Plant Operations)

About the role

The CCR Operator – I is responsible for monitoring and controlling the operational parameters of a plant unit, ensuring safe and efficient performance while coordinating with fellow operators and shift supervisors.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with all safety rules, fire equipment usage and QHSE procedures.
• Monitor unit parameters, record periodic readings and maintain accurate log books.
• Follow instructions from the Shift Charge Engineer and coordinate activities with other operators.
• Execute Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out procedures during equipment isolation and restore equipment after maintenance.
• Inspect unit and auxiliaries, report abnormalities and perform periodic protection tests.
• Raise work requests for faulty equipment and follow up on defect rectification.
• Assist in training new operators and report near‑misses, deviations and waste‑disposal measures.
• Perform equipment change‑over according to schedule and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering (mandatory) – Bachelor of Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar CCR/operator role.
• Awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards is advantageous.
• Good understanding of plant P&IDs, SOPs, work instructions and emergency procedures.
