Chief Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Chief Accountant to join a leading real‑estate company in Riyadh. The role will oversee all accounting operations, ensure compliance with IFRS and Saudi regulations, and deliver accurate financial reporting to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and financial transactions.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Prepare tax and zakat reports and fulfill related requirements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes.
• Lead and supervise the accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Previous experience in the real‑estate sector.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Saudi tax and zakat regulations.
• Professional certifications such as SOCPA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
