Chief Accountant

About the role

Digitus Group is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the accounting and financial operations of its Saudi Arabia business. The role will oversee day‑to‑day financial activities, ensure compliance with IFRS and Saudi regulations, and deliver accurate financial reporting to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full accounting cycle, including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, accruals, provisions and reconciliations.
• Direct month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Prepare monthly management reports, account analysis and supporting schedules.
• Oversee project accounting, job costing, cost allocation and monitor project profitability.
• Ensure proper revenue recognition in line with IFRS and contractual terms.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cash‑flow management.
• Maintain compliance with Saudi VAT, withholding tax, Zakat, ZATCA and e‑invoicing requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and uphold strong financial controls.
• Collaborate with Projects, Operations, Commercial, Procurement, HR and other functions.
• Develop and mentor the local accounting team and act as the primary accounting contact for the KSA operation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including senior or supervisory roles.
• Proven experience leading an accounting team and managing project‑based accounting functions.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi accounting regulations.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership abilities.
