Chief Accountant – Riyadh

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead our accounting function in Riyadh. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, timely month‑end closings, and providing reliable financial information to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities and general ledger transactions.
• Manage monthly and year‑end closing processes.
• Prepare financial reports and perform account reconciliations.
• Review journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Monitor inventory and cost‑related transactions.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and Saudi regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors and support audit activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and maintain internal controls.
• Supervise and support the accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 7 years of experience, including senior accounting roles.
• Previous experience in retail, fashion, or e‑commerce companies is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi tax regulations.
• SOCPA membership is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Odoo ERP (Accounting, Inventory, POS, Purchasing modules).
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Expertise in account reconciliations and month‑end closing.
