Chief Financial Officer – Financial Controller (Regulated Role)

About the role

This senior finance position supports the Head of Finance, KSA, delivering full‑service finance support for Corporate Banking and Wealth Management in Saudi Arabia. The role acts as the primary finance liaison with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) and ensures compliance with regulatory, statutory and internal reporting frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main registered finance contact point with SAMA, handling all regulator communications and submissions in Arabic.
• Manage external and internal audits, coordinating issue resolution promptly.
• Oversee regulatory and tax returns, reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual filings.
• Validate and control month‑end close processes for revenue and cost bookings, collaborating with front‑office and operational teams.
• Facilitate month‑end balance‑sheet substantiation (MRP) as secondary finance owner.
• Ensure internal controls are in place by liaising with line management and infrastructure functions.
• Assist with new product approval risk‑assessment checklists for product or business launches.
• Provide on‑shore KSA coverage for additional core finance duties as directed.

Required profile

• Extensive banking and markets finance experience in an international or large domestic bank or securities firm.
• Strong product accounting knowledge for vanilla markets and banking products.
• Fluency in spoken and written Arabic.
• Proven ability to manage audits, regulatory reporting and tax compliance.
