Chief Inspector - Saudi Arabia AOC (GACA)

About the role

Beond, a premium leisure airline with an all-lie-flat Airbus fleet, is setting up new Air Operator Certificates in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. It is looking for a Chief Inspector for its Saudi Arabia AOC, based in Riyadh, which is appointed by and reports to the Accountable Executive (independent of the Director of Maintenance).

Key responsibilities

• Administer the required inspection programme and maintain the Required Inspection Items (RII) list.
• Set inspection standards and oversee the inspector cadre and maintenance quality assurance.
• Ensure inspection independence and the integrity of airworthiness determinations.
• Audit maintenance activities and records and drive corrective action.
• Interface with GACA on inspection and quality matters.

Required profile

• Mechanic certificate with both airframe and powerplant (A&P) ratings, held for at least 3 years.
• At least 3 years' maintenance experience on different types of large aircraft (10+ seats), including 1 year as a maintenance inspector.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience maintaining the same category and class of aircraft.
• Full understanding of the GACAR, the operations specifications, applicable airworthiness requirements and the operations manual, and acceptance by GACA.

Required skills

• Desirable: Airbus type experience.
• Desirable: strong quality-systems and required-inspection background.
• Desirable: fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.
