Civil Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

About the role

A customer of Qureos Inc is hiring a Civil Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician in Ad Dammam. The technician carries out preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance of civil and architectural assets in commercial, residential, industrial and institutional facilities, keeping them safe, functional and well maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Gypsum and drywall: install, repair and replace gypsum board partitions and ceilings, drywall, false ceilings and gypsum decorations; install metal framing and ceiling suspension systems; apply joint tape, joint compound and finishing materials; sand and finish surfaces; replace ceiling tiles and access panels.
• Painting and finishing: prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, filling and priming; apply emulsion, enamel, epoxy and textured paints; carry out internal and external painting, match colours and finishes, and do touch-up painting.
• Carpentry: repair and install wooden doors, frames, cabinets, furniture and shelves; replace locks, hinges, handles and door closers; repair wooden flooring, skirting and partitions; install laminate, plywood and MDF; fabricate minor wooden fixtures.
• Masonry and tile: block work and plastering repairs; crack repair in walls, ceilings and concrete; install and replace ceramic, porcelain, granite and marble tiles; grout, point and finish tiles; repair floor and wall tiles; waterproofing touch-ups.
• Building fabric: repair walls, ceilings, partitions and floors; seal cracks; silicone seal sanitary fixtures and glazing; replace skirting, trims and expansion joints; repair handrails, ramps and access pathways; minor concrete repair.
• Doors, windows and hardware: repair wooden, aluminium and steel doors and windows; replace locks, closers, hinges and handles; adjust doors and windows for proper alignment.
• General civil maintenance: routine inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, emergency response, renovation and refurbishment support, and assistance to other maintenance teams during shutdowns and projects.
• Documentation: complete maintenance reports and work orders, update the CMMS, record material consumption and report defects needing major repairs.
