Clinical Instructor

About the role

The Clinical Instructor contributes to safe, patient‑focused care by delivering comprehensive staff orientation and ongoing professional development within the nursing practice model. The role supports the achievement of Nursing Affairs strategic goals and promotes the growth of Saudi nursing talent.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Education Coordinators to meet the educational needs of assigned units, clinics or nurse groups.
• Assess learning needs with staff, head nurses and ND&S colleagues and create an annual education plan.
• Design, implement, evaluate and modify clinically based teaching‑learning activities aligned with competence levels and care standards.
• Integrate evidence‑based practice, research findings and internal/external standards into all educational offerings.
• Perform clinical duties within the assigned specialty (e.g., Nursing, Laboratory, Respiratory, Pharmacy).
• Deliver unit‑based classroom and Skills Lab education using adult‑learning principles and cultural diversity awareness.
• Coach, mentor, facilitate and assess staff knowledge, skills, attitudes and values.
• Support preceptor development and conduct clinical performance assessments.
• Maintain accurate educational records and contribute to initiatives that increase Saudi nurse representation.

Required profile

• Clinical background in nursing or a related specialty (e.g., laboratory, respiratory, pharmacy).
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and assess learning needs.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice, quality improvement and patient safety.
