Cloud & Infrastructure Operations Expert

About the role

The Cloud & Infrastructure Operations Expert will lead the management and optimisation of enterprise cloud and hybrid IT environments. This role ensures service reliability, scalability, resilience and cost efficiency while supporting Digital Business Services objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, administer and operate cloud and hybrid infrastructure to maintain performance and availability.
• Manage on‑premises servers, storage, backup platforms and network components for continuous operation.
• Monitor cloud and data‑center environments with observability tools, proactively troubleshooting issues.
• Drive automation and orchestration initiatives, including provisioning, scaling, patching and maintenance.
• Support disaster‑recovery planning, backup management and high‑availability solutions.
• Analyse utilisation and consumption trends to contribute to FinOps and cost‑optimisation efforts.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, governance policies and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors and service providers to improve service delivery.
• Participate in upgrades, migrations, capacity planning and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Prepare operational reports, technical documentation and performance assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in cloud operations, hybrid infrastructure and enterprise support.
• Hands‑on experience with major public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and private‑cloud technologies.
• Experience managing virtualization, storage, backup, networking and monitoring platforms.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation, containerisation, orchestration and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Preferred certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, OCI Architect Professional, VMware Certified Professional, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, ITIL Foundation/Practitioner.
