CMM Quality Inspector

About the role

Tuwaiq Casting & Forging is looking for a precise and technically skilled CMM Quality Inspector to join its Machining Shop within the Operations Division. Reporting to the Manager, the role is responsible for dimensional inspection of manufactured components using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, CAD models and customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CMM equipment to perform first‑article, in‑process and final inspections.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols and CAD data.
• Conduct dimensional verification using manual measuring tools such as micrometers, height gauges, calipers and bore gauges.
• Record and analyse inspection results in line with company quality standards.
• Create and edit CMM inspection programs on Mullen CMM equipment using Inca3D software.
• Load parts and fixtures on the CMM table, ensuring proper alignment and clamping.
• Calibrate CMM equipment according to schedule and maintain machine accuracy.
• Generate inspection reports, maintain quality records and document deviations, non‑conformances and defects.
• Communicate inspection results to production and engineering teams for corrective action.
• Ensure inspection processes comply with ISO 9001, API and other relevant standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field; CMM Inspector certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in dimensional inspection using CMM equipment.
• Proven experience inspecting large components and API 6A and 5B products.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and accuracy with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), specifically Mullen CMM equipment.
• Programming CMM inspection routines with Inca3D software.
• Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, CAD models and technical documentation.
• Use of manual measuring tools: micrometers, height gauges, calipers, bore gauges.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, API 6A and API 5B quality standards.
