Commercial, Contractual & Cost Lead

About the role

The Commercial, Contractual & Cost Lead will steer the commercial, contractual and cost management functions for large‑scale engineering and infrastructure projects. Reporting to senior leadership, the role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on management to ensure financial performance and contractual compliance across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for commercial and cost management across major projects.
• Oversee contract administration, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Manage project financial performance, cost control measures and commercial risk exposure.
• Lead complex negotiations, resolve contractual disputes and safeguard client interests.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and key stakeholders.
• Mentor and supervise commercial teams, driving excellence and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of commercial experience within engineering consulting firms.
• Proven leadership of commercial teams and delivery of large project portfolios.
• Demonstrated ability to develop trusted client relationships and achieve successful outcomes.
• Strong understanding of Middle‑East construction industry practices and contract law.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
