Commercial Manager – Marine & Offshore Projects

About the role

The Commercial Manager will lead PFMC's commercial activities in Saudi Arabia across ship repairs, conversions and marine/offshore structural block fabrication. You will shape commercial strategy, grow the client base and ensure revenue and margin targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine commercial strategies aligned with marine and offshore market trends in the Middle East, focusing on Saudi Arabia.
• Execute strategies to achieve revenue and margin goals for ship repairs, conversions and fabrications.
• Identify and onboard new clients, handling vendor registration for all marine and offshore customers operating in KSA.
• Respond to customer enquiries, prepare competitive quotations and manage tender processes.
• Negotiate contracts and project terms with customers and agents.
• Perform cost estimating, commercial invoicing and work‑done reporting.
• Collaborate with the PaxOcean Saudi Operations team to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Ensure internal stakeholders understand contractual obligations and flag any regulatory breaches.
• Assess commercial risks and recommend mitigation actions.
• Manage change orders, negotiate variations and support contract administration.
• Review and improve existing commercial procedures and policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of commercial experience in a shipyard environment.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi maritime market (mandatory) and broader Middle‑East context (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration or Maritime Studies.
• Leadership and team‑management experience.
• Excellent client‑management and customer‑service capabilities.
