Commercial Manager – MEP (Construction)

About the role

Mace is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) commercial function on one of the largest mixed‑use programmes in Saudi Arabia. You will oversee contract administration, cost control and stakeholder relationships throughout all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute contract documents, warranties, bonds and licences, providing commercial advice during delivery.
• Measure, value and agree completed work and variations, ensuring compliance with contract terms and accurate financial management.
• Maintain cost‑control procedures, produce monthly post‑contract cost reports and present them to clients.
• Identify cost impacts from design changes, client instructions and construction activities.
• Evaluate and negotiate contractor and subcontractor claims, delivering commercial recommendations.
• Advise on practical completion, defect rectification, final certification and negotiate final accounts.
• Lead, coach and develop Cost Consultants and commercial teams.
• Build and sustain key stakeholder relationships and support net‑zero carbon objectives.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management or a related discipline.
• Professional membership (e.g., MRICS/RICS) or progress towards it.
• Extensive experience managing major MEP procurement, subcontract procurement and commercial management on large‑scale developments.
• Proven track record with Tier 1 contractors and GCC projects, delivering complex programmes while driving commercial performance.
