Commissioning Engineer – Mechanical Power Plant

About the role

WSP is seeking a Commissioning Engineer for mechanical power plant projects. The role involves providing technical expertise, reviewing contractor documentation, and overseeing testing activities for Open/Close Cycle Gas Turbine installations.

Key responsibilities

• Review contractor and OEM commissioning plans, procedures, and logic sequences.
• Attend and approve inspections and tests, witnessing key testing hold points.
• Anticipate potential issues based on past testing and commissioning experience.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and integrate project interfaces.
• Maintain a dashboard of testing progress and ensure continuous coordination.
• Review PT procedures and performance test calculations.
• Perform independent calculations to verify OEM data.
• Supervise and witness commissioning activities.

Required profile

• B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in commissioning of Open/Close Cycle Gas Turbine projects.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
