Communications Officer – Middle East & Africa

About the role

The International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) is seeking a Saudi national to join its Middle East and Africa (MEA) team as a Communications Officer based in Riyadh. You will support the Council’s outreach strategy, promote its standards across the region, and help grow membership and sponsorship.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of IVSC’s outreach strategy to regulators, professional bodies, valuation preparers, investors, banks, accountants and academic institutions in the Middle East and Africa.
• Generate, contact and follow up on leads to attract new members and sponsors.
• Collaborate with the global Director of Communications to coordinate external communications across web, email, social media, advertising campaigns and events.
• Facilitate internal communications among staff, board members and volunteers worldwide.
• Organise, market and host physical events and webinars with partner organisations.
• Conduct market research to assess the viability of future proposals and opportunities.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor or higher) with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Arabic, with strong public‑speaking abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive attitude and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the Middle East and Africa.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (essential).
• Experience using WordPress.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with Canva (highly sought).
