Communications Specialist

About the role

The Communications Specialist supports the implementation of KAUST’s communications strategy, acting as a bridge between business units, stakeholders, and the Global Brand Communications (GBC) specialist teams. This role combines relationship management, strategic planning, and hands‑on execution to drive engagement and align messaging with the university’s brand and operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to understand communication strategy and support needs.
• Assist in developing tactical marketing communication plans that align with university objectives and brand positioning.
• Coordinate with GBC, digital, and creative teams to execute campaigns across multiple channels.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination, ensuring alignment and smooth execution of approved projects.
• Use stakeholder insights and market research to refine and optimise communication plans for maximum impact.
• Monitor and evaluate performance of communication initiatives, providing data‑driven recommendations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance innovation.
• Develop work plans, manage expectations, and provide regular reporting on activities and issues.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated communication solutions.
• Strong consultative approach to engage university partners and division teams.
