Communications Technician

About the role

The Communications Technician supports the hotel's technology infrastructure, ensuring reliable operation of IT equipment, PBX systems, and guest internet services.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute installations, moves, additions, and changes of IT equipment to improve reliability and performance.
• Enter commands and activate controls on computers, peripheral devices, and PBX/telephone switchboard systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve non‑routine hardware, software, and guest room internet access issues.
• Maintain inventory of technology devices and ensure secure access to computer and telephone rooms.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and maintain professional appearance while providing guest support.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience or specific licenses/certifications required.

Required skills

• Experience with PBX/telephone switchboard systems.
• Hardware troubleshooting.
• Software troubleshooting.
• Guest internet access support.
